The Regency Ball 2011

The Regency Ball was a blast! Friday, the night before the ball, we all went to bed around and we woke up at 5:00 the next day. The ball was in South Bend Indiana so we had to leave at about eight O'clock. It was so fun!!!!!! We danced from 11:00 to 3:00! Once it was done, we couldn't help but have the sudden urge to walk into McDonalds with our Regency Costumes on... we went in, and we all talked in english accents as we ordered. A man even inquired if we were British!!! To which my sister replied, against my will, that we were putting on our accents. What a day! I certainly hope we can go again next year. I intend to post the pictures individually later.

My Own Composed Piece

On the subject of composers, I have decided to post a piece I am composing and where I am with it. To begin with, I sat down at the piano yesterday and somehow found myself playing this. It sounds more of a Arabian lulaby. I've composed only a small piece of it, but I will compose more!!! Enjoy:

Just two more days!

Ah yes! Just two more days an the polls end! I should think it's obvious that the winners have already been chosen. After two days, it will be time to post the new polls. The new polls will be OST against the other OSTs. Then we will decide who's (of the composers posted) music is the most prefered. Keep updated on the polls!

p.s. do not, I repeat, do not vote on your favorite movie! Go onto playlist, or another way of litening to music, and wote on which track you enjoyed most!

Pigs, Turkeys, Chickens, Ducks, Dogs, and Cats

Now I truly live on a farm. We used to own just ducks, chickens, dogs, and cats, but now the list seems to be growing much larger than I had imagined. Just a few days ago, the pigs arrived. And the next day, we picked up eight turkeys and a chick!!!! So obviously, our barn duties are growing. The pigs, thank goodness, aren't the big, stinky, ugly ogres you usually think they would be, they're really cleaner than you'd expect!

The reason why turkeys have a chick with them, is because if you don't have a chick, they'd never learn how to eat and drink! Bah! turkeys. God must have been in a good mood when he made turkeys! Not that God is ever in a bad mood... Turkeys I rank along with Moose. In my opinion, God took all the left over parts and decided to put them together and make a Moose and a Turkey. Unfortunately, for the Turkeys, God didn't have a spare brain... so they had to be content without one.

So, I go now to take care of our ever growing farm.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Aye! Today is St. Patrick's Day! The day where little bloody lepricons dye everythin' green and if you don't wear somethin' green, well, then shame on you! On St. Patrick's Day, me family has a tradition o' wearin' green all day (and wearin' kilts sometimes) and then eatin Corn beef and Cabage and watchin' John Wayne's film, The Quiet Man. I would recomend this film to anyone!

Well, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy Birthday Gabriel!!!

Today is my brother Gabriel's 10th Birthday!!!! For those of you who aren't acquainted with Gabriel, he's a short, obnoxious, and insignificant squirt who manages to give us all a laugh with his answers to whatever we say.

He plays a great bald hermit

He loves taking pictures of himself

When it comes to moneyless poker, he is inferior to no one!

He's got an awesome shotgun!
Happy Birthday Gabriel and I wish you many more!

The Polls are up!

As I couldn't find any amazing soundtracks for Klaus Badelt, other than POTC 1, he doesn't have a poll. I ask you to listen to a track from the movies mentioned in the poles and then vote on the poles. After these polls are done, it will be composer againsts composer.

Composer Polls

I was sitting and thinking today, or tonight if you prefer, of all my favorite composers and their pieces. I have officially decided to post a poll on which composer people prefer to listen to. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT vote on the composer who did your favorite movie! Vote on their pieces. I'm going to go through the most praised pieces of some of the best movie composers. We will first go through pieces of composers and vote on which one is best, then on the composers themselves. Here they are:

#1) one of the most well known composers of his time, most well known for his production of STAR WARS, John Williams!

#2) The second composer, none other than the praised composer of Disney's Pirates of the Carribean 1, Klaus Badelt!

#3) The third composer, the composer of countless movies including POTC 2 & 3, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, and many others, Hans Zimmer!

#4) The composer of films such as The Last of the Mohicans, National Treasure, and Flyboys, Trevor Rabin!

#5) Last, but not least, my favorite composer, composer of The Titanic, Braveheart, and many others, James Horner!

#6) The composer of The Kingdom of Heaven and The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Gregson-Williams!

We're Sick

Yes, we're sick. I'm a bit better than I was yesterday, but I still hate being sick. We caught a sort of flu... thing... their's no throwing up, but your nose, in my sisters words, feels like it could blow fire, and you get headaches, and cough. I don't like to cough. I don't know if that's anything informative because I have yet to meet anyone who likes to cough. On Friday, I had already came down with it, but I just finished the school, without saying anything about it, and then told my Mom. Saturday, we took medicines all day and sat around on couches and rested. On Sunday, we had to miss Mass, much to our distress, and I couldn't go to my Piano Festival. But I'm getting better now. I'm still doing school, but I can't do any major thinking because I keep falling asleep as I do it. Bah! I hate this thing. But I can stand it long enough. But if it lasts until next Sunday (the play recital), I'm gonna sue! Well, if practical.

It's coming time to film!

We're almost there! Once this blasted snow melts, it'll be show time! We can, finally, finish filming The Crusaders Tale. We've been working on this film for quite a while, two years to be exact, not because it was so difficult, but because we're not pros. You see, when I first read the story on Master Xavier's Lair, I thought it was somewhat promising and didn't think much of it. At that time, I was engaged in filming my own version of The Fellowship of the Ring, but we had to shelve it (it became quite a hassle). So I asked Xavier if I could film The Crusaders Tale for him. He agreed and we officially joined his "studio" (at least that's what we like to call it) of Lord and Lady Productions. When we had about three scenes left to film, winter came in. When the spring came, we were told by Master Xavier that he had written a second version of The Crusaders Tale. He didn't say we had to use it, but after reading it over, I realized it was a better story, so we scratched all the films for the old one and began on the new. If we had filmed the old one, we would have been done with it and filming a sequel (it really needed it). But we started on the new one which did not need a sequel. We filmed two scenes of the new story, (we got a little lazy) and then it was winter again. Now, winter is almost over! I can't wait to start again!
